Technology Autobiography

 

Techonolgy gives me opportunities that I never thought would be given to me. I thought that it was just always just going to be a laptop that the school provided for us, but this class showed me that I can do so much more than that. For example, now I can go to any website and just look around, and within 30 minutes I know how to do Mudbox, create facial figures and add textures. It means a lot to be given the opportunity to learn these kinds of skills as a student.

My only other background in technology was that I took photojournalism my freshman year, and learned a little bit about photography. I was also Adobe Photoshop certified through that class.

I took animation because I thought it would be an exciting new experience. I learned a lot in this class last year. I drew so much inspiration from the people I sat next to in class, and had a great time collaborating with them on projects. Some group projects I really liked were the stopmotion project and the commercial. While my favorite type of animation I learned was 3d, a passion I found through this class was actually making music. I continued to practice outside of school this summer to get better. This year I want to focus on combining my music and animation. One day I hope to go into space and play my music for Martians.
